Our project is to provide free K53 driving lessons to learners that are valid learner’s driver’s licence holders. One of the projects objectives is to save lives and to assist learners to arrive alive every time they drive.
In today’s world, driving has become one of the most important human needs rather than a luxury. South Africa has some of the worst road traffic injury statistics in the world. Statistics show that road fatalities have increased by 14% over the 2015/16 festive season. The Western Cape was recorded as being the province with the highest level of death due to road crashes, as they increased by 33% from last year.
Learners that obtain their driver’s licence early in life will improve the quality of drivers on the roads and create more opportunities for them to explore in shaping their futures.
A learner in possession of a valid driver’s licence will be able to find work faster and to improve the quality of their lives and in turn contribute positively to society and the country’s economy.
