Thousands evacuated as restive Philippine volcano rumbles
Taal volcano near the capital, Manila. National Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Council spokesperson Mark Timbal said evacuations are ongoing in the three towns nearest the volcano — San Nicolas, Balete and Talisay.

Cause: Taal Volcano Phreatic Eruption
AREAS UNDER ASHFALL ADVISORY:
– Cavite
– Batangas
– Rizal
– Northwestern portion of Quezon
– Metro Manila
– Bulacan
– Pampanga
– Bataan
– Tarlac
– Nueva Ecija
– Eastern portion of Pangasinan
– Southeastern portion of Zambales
– Stay indoors
– Close the windows and doors. It will help stop ash from entering the structure.
– Do not run air-conditioning or clothes dryers
– If outside seek shelter; use a mask or handkerchief for breathing. Wear protective clothing especially if working in the ash fall, and goggles to protect the eyes.
– If possible do not drive, park your car under-cover or cover it
– If you must drive, drive slowly as ash fall will reduce visibility. You may need to use the car headlights because of the reduced visibility. Do not use the car’s ventilation system. Ash on the road surface can also reduce traction.
– Do not rush to your child’s school. Schools are responsible for the safety of the children. Schools will notify you of any emergency procedures which are to be taken.
– Keep pets indoors.
– Check that livestock have enough food and water. May need to shelter livestock if the fall is heavy.
– Disconnection of roof-fed water supply is only required when an ash fall is occurring or during the clean up to stop ash entering the storage tanks.

Threat of strong eruption remains
Residents can't immediately return home even if alert level over Taal gets downgraded
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 20) — Government volcanologists said evacuees displaced by the Taal Volcano eruption have to wait for government safety clearance to go home or reopen businesses even if the alert level is downgraded

Recently, an active volcano located in Batangas, Philippines had a sudden eruption of small rocks and ashes resulting to an ashfall to its nearby provinces. Evacuation and rescue are being done around its 10-15 km radius. Earthquakes also occurred around Batangas and people are in DIRE NEED OF HELP. Taal Volcano is currently at ALERT LEVEL 4, meaning a hazardous eruption is about to happen within days.

All proceeds will SOLELY be used to buy goods, protective gears (especially masks) food, water and medication for the victims affected by the ashfall. PLEASE, A LITTLE DONATION CAN GO A LONG WAY! HOW WE WILL DISTRIBUTE THE FUND:
A group of volunteers who will buy and pack the goods needed. (Food, water, clothes, protective gears/masks, medication) we have friends who have trucks and cars to deliver the goods to the designated evacuation areas! WE WILL UPDATE ALL ONCE WE STARTED ROLLING.
